Abdullahi Tsanni
Abdullahi Tsanni leads the African Science Literacy Network training program in Nigeria, equipping scientists and journalists with the skills needed to effectively communicate science with policymakers and the public. Abdullahi is a science writer based in Abuja, Nigeria, and he has reported on science, health, agriculture, and the scientific enterprise in Africa for publications including Nature, The British Medical Journal (BMJ), Nigeria Health Watch, and African Newspage, among others. In 2020 he was chosen from among almost 200 applicants to be a fellow in The Open Notebook’s early-career science journalism fellowship program sponsored by the Burroughs Wellcome Fund. Abdullahi joined the African Science Literacy Network in 2019 as a founding member, and fellow, helping with communications and providing input on media partnerships. He has a degree in biochemistry.
