Dr Temilola Oluseyi is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Chemistry, University of Lagos, Nigeria. She holds a B.Sc. (Chemistry) from the University of Ibadan in 1999, M.Sc. and Ph.D. from the University of Lagos, in 2002 and 2010 respectively. She was awarded Ph.D. Split-Site Commonwealth Scholarship at Loughborough University, UK in 2007 and a Commonwealth Post-Doctoral Fellowship at the University of Birmingham, UK in 2013.
Her research involves the using analytical techniques to address sources, fate and behaviour of persistent organic pollutants (POPs) e.g., flame retardants and pharmaceutical and personal care products (PPCPs) in the environment. She also works on the development of analytical techniques for monitoring personal care products, pharmaceutical wastes, illicit drugs, and their degradation products in wastewater treatment plants and the receiving environment such as rivers, in addition to monitoring potentially toxic elements in contaminated land, sediments and waters. She is a member of the Royal Society of Chemistry and the UKRI International Development Peer Review College. She is also a principal and co investigator in a number of research grants from TETFUND, UKRI GCRF and the EU.
