Dr Reuben Edith is public health physician currently with the River State Primary Health Care Management Board, where she currently holds the position of the Head of Clinical Services and Supervision Unit.
She graduated from the University of Port Harcourt with two Bachelors degree in Human Physiology and Medicine/Surgery. She is pursuing a masters degree in Human Physiology with research interest in Nutrition Physiology. Her dissertation focuses on the effects of ketogenic diet on serum biomarkers of obese and overweight female subjects.
She was selected for the Postgraduate Program Paediatric Nutrition class of 2020 with the Boston University School of Medicine sponsored by the Nestle Nutrition Institute, West Africa. She was awarded Fellowship of African Science Literacy Network, Nigeria, in 2019. She serves a lead facilitator/master trainer for Integrated management of childhood illness (IMCI), Adolescent and youth friendly services, family planning and postabortal care services. She is a member of the Association of Public Health Physicians of Nigeria.
She is the convener of “The Han’Out” a meet-up for young people that provide them with life skills and mentorship and a resource person for Academic Excellence Spot. She also volunteers for community outreaches, where she helps provide primary health care to women and children.
